I dunno, i dont think i'd like this as much if it was more dreamy... I think it looks perfect as is. It did it for me - im a fan of this pic ...
Plus, i think less PS is better.
If anything i reccon just make the middle )darker part of this pic) part of this pic more 'realisitic' looking rather then blacked out... (i personally think this would work a treat) ... the rest is very believable
Fantastic Caleb, I saw this when Mel was browsing through her account, and I was suprised it was your photo, as it isn't really the style of photograph I have grown used to seeing you release. The contrast balance is excellent and the glow from the blinds gives the image a really dreamy feel to it. Your choice selective saturation has really paid off and it's clearly working as well as selective saturation can ever be expected to. I love the darkness in the lower half of the image, and it has a generally lonely feel to it, as if your sister is await the arrival of someone.
Overall a really, really good photo mate, certainly a step up. The only thing I can fault here is a very slight lack of sharpening in the upper-half of the image, too much would kill the mood but a hint of clarity might be nice, I don't know if you want it ever-so slightly blurred to add to the mood though.
I know what you mean about being a completely different style for me.
I actually had a lot of fun doing the portrait shots, now I just wanna try to find some willing models and do some more, lmao.
Could I interest you and/or Mel into doing some modelling for me ????
WOW hunny this one is great i was wrong this is your best photo ever, it has such a beautiful mood, the lighting is flattering and romantic, great work hun.
this is a great capture.
how come she wore red?
My sister doesn't like to fit into other peoples "ideals", and I guess that included wedding dress colours...
I've actually bought up the colour a bit for the photo, it was more of a deep maroon/blood red dress, it was very stunning.
Thank you Katrina,
although not sure why a wedding day would need a "dreamy sigh" !!!
On the other hand vampires, corsets, bellydancers, chocolates & music are all definately 'dreamy sigh' material for me
